How to Travel with Suits by Pinpoint Resource
When traveling with men’s formal wear such as a suit there are some tips and tricks to help avoid the suit wrinkling or being damaged that our Pinpoint Recourse suit experts have to save you from getting to your destination with a disaster on your hands.
How to Keep Suits Wrinkle-Free When Traveling
The most common problem when traveling with a suit is wrinkling. Many businessmen want to travel light and a garment check bag is something many say they would like to avoid. While wearing your suit jacket on the plane is the most common way to avoid wrinkling it is not always the most comfortable option. Not to worry we have a creative way to travel with your suit in a carry-on that many have told us helped them to arrive at their destination suit perfectly intact without a wrinkle to be found.
How to Travel with a Men's Suit Without Wrinkling or Damaging It
Traveling with a men's suit can be tricky, but there's an easy solution to avoid wrinkles and damage. Here's a simple method to keep your suit looking sharp:
Plastic Garment Bag Method:
Get a plastic garment-length bag.
Put your suit jacket on a sturdy hanger.
Cover the suit jacket with the plastic garment bag.
Fold the suit jacket over once and lay it flat on top of your other items in your suitcase or carry-on bag.
Inside-Out Method for Smaller Bags:
If you're using a smaller bag like a duffle bag, the plastic garment bag method might not work. Instead, try the inside-out method:
Step 1: Hold your suit jacket by the collar and pop the shoulders inside out. Don't pull the sleeves through, just the shoulders.
Step 2: Continue to turn the rest of the jacket inside out, still leaving the sleeves as they were.
Step 3: Fold the jacket in half so the lapels touch.
Step 4: Fold it one more time until you have a small square shape.

Quick Fixes for Wrinkled Suit Jackets When Traveling
Sometimes, no matter how carefully you pack, your suit jacket ends up wrinkled when you arrive. But don't stress! Here are a few quick and easy ways to fix it.
When you get to your hotel, hang your suit jacket in the bathroom while you take a hot shower. The steam helps relax the wrinkles. Just make sure the jacket doesn’t get wet.
If you have a travel-sized steamer, it can be a real lifesaver. It’s small, easy to pack, and works great on wrinkled suits. Just follow the instructions and gently steam out the wrinkles.
Another trick is using a damp cloth and an iron. If there’s an iron in your hotel room, place a damp cloth over the wrinkled area and gently press the iron on a low setting. This helps smooth out the wrinkles without harming the fabric.
And if you have a wrinkle-release spray, it’s super handy. Spray it on the wrinkled areas, smooth the fabric with your hands, and let it hang to dry. Your suit will look good as new in no time.
With these simple tips, you can make sure your suit looks sharp and ready to go, no matter where your travels take you.
